48 hour film project coming to tampa
January 15, 2007 at 4:11 pm | In For Filmmakers, Contests/Submissions, Movies, Tampa Bay Area |For the first time in its six years, the 48 Hour Film Project is coming to Tampa. The 48HFP is a unique contest where filmmaking teams have only two days to make a film from start to finish.
There’s a random drawing just prior to the start of each competition, where each film team will select a genre for its film. In addition, we will announce a character, prop and line of dialogue that must appear in each film. You are responsible for putting together your own cast and crew, and getting equipment and anything else you need to make a film/video. Because we guarantee a screening to all teams that submit an on-time film, we limit the number of teams that participate in each city. (from the website)
Visit www.48hourfilm.com/tampa to learn the rules, read about the prizes, sign up for the newsletter or register your team. Bill Rogers of Windsong Productions is producing the project in Tampa. His website is www.windsongproductions.com.
On your mark, get set, ACTION!

I just want to be the first to introduce myself as an interested party in working with a team on this project.
I am an aspiring writer, as well as having extra experience shooting a commercial in Miami in 1992, for RC Cola. It was a blast and I am more than interested in the 48hour project!
I would be ready and willing to bring any suggestions, ideas and writing skills to the team as well as any acting or other shooting support needed. I just need to be part of a team.
So, if anyone is interested, you can contact me at 863-393-4564 or email me at louannwelty@yahoo.com
I also have a page set up on myyearbook.com and am listed as writersblock on myspace.com
Thanks for your shared interest in an exciting and thrilling project!!
